Bali island is one of the islands in Indonesia. Bali is a small island which is located between Java island and Lombok island. Hinduism is the most popular religion in Bali. Bali is very well-known as a tourism destination. Its beaches are the main attraction of Bali island. Beside, Bali has many unique traditions and cultures. Balineses have their own way to give a name to a person.

There are several religions in Bali. The religion which has the most population is Hinduism. Most of Balineses adhere to Balinese Hinduism. So, it is not difficult to find a temple in Bali. The second is Moeslem. We can see from there are mosques, although they are not as many as temples. The rests are Christian and Buddhist. The high tolerance among the religions makes Balinese live peacefully despite they have different religions.

Balinese people also preserve their culture. Although, there are many tourists coming to Bali. It does not make them forgetting about their culture. As an example, it is a traditional village Panglipuran. It is located in Bangli regency. It is 45 kilometers from Denpasar city. The houses in Panglipuran are Balinese traditional house. Panglipuran villagers also hold some traditional rituals. One of them is Ngaben. Ngaben is a funeral ceremony where the body of the dead men are burned then the ashes are thrown to the sea. Because Panglipuran is far from the sea, the Panglipuran villagers do not burn the body. They can not throw the ashes to the sea. So, they bury the body.

The other speciality of Bali island is the way of naming. According to their culture, there are several rules in giving a name for a person. As an example, the name Wayan is for the first child. Made is for the second child. Nyoman or Komang is for the third child and Ketut is for the fourth child. The other way of giving a name is using their sex. The first name I is for men and Ni is for women.

As a tourism destination, Bali also offers many beautiful tourism attractions. The main attraction in Bali is the beach. Kuta is the most popular destination for the tourists. The domestic tourists like Kuta beach because it has many good waves for surfing. Kuta is also called as Sunset beach. You can enjoy a beautiful sunset in Kita.

Visiting Bali is not complete if we do not buy some souvenirs from Bali. One of the popular souvenirs is Joger. Joger is a factory outlet which is only found in Bali. It is very famous of their unique words because there are always unique words in every product that they have made. Beside Joger, there is also Krisna Souvenir Center. We can buy some souvenirs from Bali, such as cloths, accessories, and foods in Krisna. However, if we want to buy souvenirs in a cheaper price, we can go to Sukawati Art market. When we shop at Sukawati, we should be able to bargain to get a thing with a cheap price.
